This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Wisconsin.
• Develops operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations, institutional guidelines, and departmental goals.
• Acts as a representative for the institution, engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Holds supervisory responsibilities, which include hiring, transferring, suspending, promoting, managing conduct and performance, terminating, assigning tasks, rewarding, disciplining, and/or approving hours worked for a minimum of 2.0 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees.
• Provides advice to institutional or divisional leadership regarding information technology operations and business models.
• May be involved in developing and auditing institutional budgets and/or financial reports.
• May undertake managerial responsibilities.
• Actively collaborates with colleagues across Workday and the Enterprise Solutions Team to create a unified and effective leadership team.
• Leads strategic information technology planning initiatives and sets objectives for the institution to ensure optimal utilization of financial, administrative, and staffing resources in alignment with the strategic plan.
• Must be a strategic thinker capable of introducing innovative methods to achieve business goals.
• Should be prepared to analyze operational details and understand how specific needs align with the overall strategy.
• Must possess strong leadership skills, exemplify positive leadership traits, and foster an environment conducive to team success.
• Should cultivate positive relationships with executive leaders, stakeholders, peers, and team members.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse audiences, delivering presentations successfully in various settings and formats.
• Must have a comprehensive understanding of how industry drivers and trends affect the organization's business objectives.
• Recognize that stakeholders may have differing interests and must comprehend the organization's operations to navigate effectively within that context.
• Must have proven experience in managing personnel and resources, successfully achieving results while providing high-quality customer service.
• Demonstrated experience in finance and related functions is required.
• Proven experience in supporting time-sensitive planning and budgeting cycles, including system readiness, testing, stabilization, and managing heightened operational pressure during fixed deadlines.
• Experience in managing system changes and releases while ensuring operational stability during active planning periods.
• Comfortable working in an environment where priorities are guided by institutional timelines and end-user business processes, not solely by system or product roadmaps.
• Proactive ownership is essential, including the ability to drive work forward and follow through without waiting for guidance.
• Exceptional organizational discipline is necessary when coordinating complex tasks across teams with dependencies and strict, planning cycle-driven deadlines.
• Direct people leadership is required for a team with diverse functional, technical, and operational responsibilities.
• Accountable for balancing team workload and sustainability with enterprise and institutional planning deadlines.
• Must be comfortable guiding people through uncertainty and change, particularly during high-stakes planning and budgeting cycles.
• Demonstrated experience in formal people management, including conducting performance evaluations, setting objectives, providing feedback, and addressing performance issues in accordance with organizational policies.
