• Take full ownership of the corporate IT environment, including infrastructure, tools, identity management, and endpoint security, ensuring complete accountability for performance and reliability.
• Evaluate the current state of IT operations, pinpoint gaps, and create a roadmap to establish a stable and scalable baseline, maintaining that standard.
• Lead and reorganize the IT team you will inherit. Set clear expectations, develop your team members, and address gaps as the business grows.
• Drive identity and access management throughout the organization, guaranteeing that appropriate individuals have access while preventing unauthorized access.
• Oversee endpoint management, including device procurement, configuration, security policies, and lifecycle management for a fully remote workforce.
• Collaborate with leadership to ensure that the internal security posture aligns with business risk tolerance and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain IT performance metrics and reporting that provide leadership with visibility without necessitating their direct involvement in daily operations.
• Minimize executive-level escalations by implementing clear processes, escalation paths, and self-service options that empower employees to independently resolve routine issues.
• Assess, consolidate, and optimize the internal tools stack by eliminating redundancies, enhancing integrations, and ensuring that the tools in use effectively support business operations.
• Create and enforce IT policies, change management processes, and documentation standards that evolve alongside the organization.
• Over 7 years of progressive IT experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership position managing corporate IT in a professional services, consulting, or technology firm.
• Proven ability to stabilize and scale IT operations in a fast-paced or structurally complex environment.
• Strong practical knowledge in identity and access management (Entra ID / Azure AD, Okta, or similar), endpoint management (Intune, Jamf, or equivalent), and cloud productivity tools (Microsoft 365, Google Workspace).
• Demonstrated experience in managing and developing a small IT team, including performance management and organizational restructuring.
• Solid understanding of IT security frameworks and best practices; capable of taking ownership of the internal security posture and collaborating on compliance-related initiatives.
• Exceptional communication skills — able to convey technical decisions in business terms and manage upward without unnecessary escalations.
• Self-motivated, decisive, and comfortable in a developing environment. You proactively identify issues that need attention.
• **Nice to Have**
• Experience working with a professional services or ERP consulting firm, where internal IT must operate alongside complex client delivery environments.
• Knowledge of compliance requirements in regulated industries such as life sciences, food and beverage, or manufacturing.
• Familiarity with ITSM platforms like ServiceNow, Freshservice, or Jira Service Management.
• Experience in establishing or modernizing IT functions within a PE-backed or high-growth organization.
