IT Category Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create, execute, and oversee detailed category strategies for various IT sub-categories, such as software, hardware, telecommunications, and IT services, in line with Jabil's global goals.

• Direct all elements of the sourcing process, encompassing market analysis, supplier selection, RFP creation, bid evaluation, and contract negotiation with key IT vendors.

• Build and sustain robust relationships with internal stakeholders (IT, finance, legal) to grasp their requirements, convey sourcing strategies, and ensure alignment.

• Keep track of market trends, technological developments, and supplier performance to uncover opportunities for innovation, cost savings, and ongoing enhancement within the IT category.

• Negotiate beneficial terms and conditions, pricing, and service level agreements (SLAs) with suppliers to secure optimal value and reduce risks.

• Oversee supplier relationships by conducting regular business reviews to evaluate performance, promote compliance, and cultivate strategic partnerships.

• Identify and execute cost-saving initiatives, monitor and report on savings realized, and guarantee adherence to procurement policies and procedures.

• Collaborate with legal counsel to review and complete contracts, ensuring compliance with legal standards and Jabil's requirements.

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Jabil's IT landscape, business needs, and strategic objectives.

• Proven experience as an IT Category Manager to strategically oversee and enhance our IT procurement expenditures.

• Expertise in developing category strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and driving cost efficiencies while ensuring high-quality IT products and services.
