This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership of and maintain a comprehensive IT budget tracker across various cost centers, ensuring that budget information is precise, up-to-date, and well-organized.
• Monitor budget versus actual spending on a regular basis, identify discrepancies, and create clear reports for IT leadership and cost center managers.
• Collaborate with cost center managers to gather updates, verify expenditures, reconcile planned and actual expenses, and uphold forecast accuracy.
• Assist in monthly budget review processes by updating financial trackers, organizing supporting information, and following up on outstanding items.
• Examine invoices and expenditure records against budgets, purchase orders, and contract stipulations to ensure accurate coding and payment readiness.
• Utilize advanced Excel skills to handle large datasets, perform reconciliations, create formulas, and prepare routine budget reporting and analysis.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in budget coordination, financial operations, FP&A support, accounting assistance, or a similar role.
• Proven experience in managing budgets, tracking budget versus actuals, maintaining detailed financial trackers, supporting forecast updates, and recognizing spend variances.
• Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple cost centers, recurring reporting cycles, deadlines, and follow-up tasks with precision.
• Capability to work accurately with detailed financial data, invoices, purchase orders, and supporting documents while maintaining well-organized records.
• Experience in supporting procurement, invoice processing, contract documentation, and vendor workflow activities is preferred and will aid in fulfilling the secondary responsibilities of the role.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel is required, including knowledge of formulas, pivot tables, lookups, reconciliations, and the capacity to analyze and manage detailed budget, invoice, and forecast data.
• Comfort in collaborating with IT leadership, Finance, Procurement, and cost center managers to gather updates, reconcile information, and assist in decision-making.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented and responsive approach.
• Detail-oriented, reliable, and capable of executing administrative tasks with precision and consistency.
• Familiarity with regulated or process-driven environments is preferred.
