This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Act as the main escalation point for IT Admins I and II, addressing the most challenging hardware, software, and operating system issues across macOS and Windows.
• Serve as the chief administrator for essential platforms (e.g., Jamf Pro, Intune, or Okta), ensuring their configuration aligns with industry best practices and security protocols.
• Spearhead small-to-medium IT projects, including software deployments, security enhancements, or office expansions, overseeing the process from planning to implementation.
• Identify inefficiencies in onboarding, offboarding, and support processes; design and apply enhancements to boost team productivity.
• Collaborate with the Security team on projects such as enforcing endpoint compliance, managing disk encryption, and executing vulnerability patching schedules.
• Create high-quality internal "Runbooks" for the IT department and clear "How-to" guides for employees.
• Offer technical guidance and "over-the-shoulder" coaching to junior admins to elevate the overall technical expertise of the team.
• Interact with third-party vendors for procurement, support escalation, and software renewals.
• 4 – 6+ years of experience in IT Systems Administration or a senior Support Engineering role.
• Extensive, high-level expertise in managing macOS and Windows environments at scale within a corporate setting.
• Demonstrated experience in configuring and maintaining Jamf Pro and/or Microsoft Intune, as well as Okta (or similar Identity providers).
• Proficiency in utilizing AI-native coding tools and low-code platforms to read, modify, and create automation workflows, scripts, or device configurations to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Capability to use logs, terminal commands, and diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues that others may find challenging to resolve.
• Strong organizational abilities with a proven history of successfully completing projects on schedule.
• Exceptional skill in translating complex technical concepts for non-technical personnel.
• A demonstrated ability to work independently, making informed technical decisions that align with organizational objectives.
