IP Quality Reviewer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• The Coding Quality Reviewer will report directly to the Internal Quality Control Director and will be tasked with evaluating and reviewing the accuracy of medical record documentation, coding, and abstracting in accordance with quality review policies and facility guidelines, using ICD-10 CM/PCS and CPT coding classification systems.

• Patient record reviews will be performed using the facility's EMR, scanning technology, or other recognized methods.

• All reviews must be documented daily in Guidehouse's proprietary quality review tracking and trending software, with timely responses to coder rebuttals as outlined in the quality review policies and procedures.

• This role will involve carrying out all related job responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in medical coding or review.

• High School Diploma (Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education).

• Must possess one of the following active credentials: (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CPC, CIC, or COC).

• It is required to maintain the coding credential while employed at Guidehouse.

• Candidates must pass the Guidehouse coding competency exam.
