IP Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Collaborate closely with product, engineering, research, and commercial teams on a range of intellectual property matters, including copyright, rights of publicity, trademarks, and trade secrets.

• Provide counsel on IP risks associated with model development and outputs, as well as structure and negotiate licensing agreements across our platforms.

• Assist in establishing the frameworks that safeguard and enhance ElevenLabs' intellectual property position as we expand.

• This role offers high impact and autonomy for individuals eager to engage in substantive legal work rather than merely managing processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (JD) with active membership in at least one U.S. state bar, or a law degree with qualification to practice law in the U.K.

• Over 6 years of experience providing advice on intellectual property matters, including copyright and/or trade secrets.

• Proven experience in drafting and negotiating complex IP-related transactions, such as licensing agreements.

• Strong understanding of the intellectual property challenges unique to generative AI companies.

• Exceptional business judgment, writing abilities, and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
