IP Coding Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Conduct quality reviews of coding to guarantee accuracy in coding practices.

• Create educational resources for coders based on the findings from quality reviews.

• Act as a subject matter expert on coding and compliance matters.

• Support denials management and facilitate the resolution of complex cases.

• Provide training and assistance to coders.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• A minimum of five (5) years of recent coding experience in a hospital setting.

• Valid certification as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, COC, or CPC.

• Strong analytical skills for resolving coding challenges.

• Excellent critical thinking abilities and capability to work autonomously.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT/HCPCS coding systems.

• Proficiency in using 3M HDM encoders and reporting tools.

• Preferred experience with Epic EMR.

• Understanding of Medical Necessity review guidelines.
