Interventional Radiology Coder – CIRCC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Coding Specialists play a crucial role within the team at CorroHealth.

• This Coding Team Member is required to possess a CIRCC certification and have experience in coding for interventional cardiology and interventional radiology.

• Deliver various coding services to support our clients effectively.

• Identify critical care cases based on patient acuity levels.

• Code surgical procedures typically encountered in an ER setting to capture additional revenue when appropriate.

• Apply ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes with the utmost specificity available.

• Accurately assign diagnosis and procedure codes using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT®, and HCPCS.

• Interpret coding guidelines to ensure precise code assignment.

• Recognize the significance of documentation in code assignment and its subsequent impact on reimbursement.

• Adhere to AHIMA's Standards of Ethical Coding and the Company’s Code of Ethics and Business Conduct while supporting the Company’s Ethics and Compliance Program.

• Follow all internal policies and procedures diligently.

• Engage actively in Company-provided training and education opportunities.

• Ensure compliance with all privacy and security rules and regulations, committing to protect all Company confidential information, including but not limited to Personal Health Information.

⛳️ Requirements

• A CIRCC certification or 10-15 years of experience in IVR is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of on-the-job experience is necessary.

• Must possess working knowledge and experience with systems such as EMR and Billing.

• Access to a phone, reliable internet connection, and current coding resources, including CPT and ICD-10-CM coding references, is required.

• It is essential to maintain an ongoing productivity level and accuracy rate of 95% or higher.

• A quality score of 95% or higher must be maintained.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel and Outlook is required.
