Cardiovascular & Radiology Coder

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Applies CPT-4 and HCPCS codes to medical records.

• Balances the necessity for coding accuracy with the timely completion of accounts.

• Codes surgical procedures carried out by cardiologists and interventional radiologists.

• Verifies supplies utilized during procedures.

• Utilizes encoders and various references.

• Maintains appropriate non-leading queries directed at physicians.

• Demonstrates the ability to abstract services from physician documentation and procedural logs.

• Reconciles monthly surgical logs.

• Prepares Excel analyses, incorporating V-Lookups and pivot tables.

• Collects and organizes data in a systematic manner.

• Evaluates and implements charge requests using the correct codes.

• Conducts Charge Capture Audits.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma.

• 4-6 years of experience.

• Required Certification: CCS, CIRCC, COC, CPC, or an equivalent credential.

• Proficient computer skills, including spreadsheets, Internet usage, and email.

• Expertise in Excel, particularly with V-Lookups and pivot tables.

• Strong analytical skills and data validation capabilities.

• Familiarity with billing and revenue recognition processes.

• Experience in conducting charge capture audits.

• Ability to analyze data, identify relationships, and summarize findings.

• Experience with report extraction from software tools.

• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.

• Experience interacting with executive stakeholders.
