Intervention Specialist, Grades K-2

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Modify and/or adjust the K12 curriculum to align with state content standards, catering to the individual needs of each student.

• Develop and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

• Work collaboratively with general education teachers to achieve the student’s goals.

• Provide education to parents regarding various instructional strategies.

• Prepare necessary documentation.

• Coordinate and lead IEP meetings.

• Administer achievement and other required assessments to students, including alternative assessments when necessary.

• Collaborate with the related services team to ensure IEP goals are created and monitored effectively.

⛳️ Requirements

• State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License.

• Bachelor’s degree AND a relevant combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web skills.

• At least 1 year of classroom experience is preferred.

• Master’s Degree with a focus in Special Education is preferred.

• 3 or more years of classroom experience in Special Education is preferred.
