Intervention Specialist, Grades 9-12

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

📋 Description

• Modify and/or adapt the K12 curriculum to align with the state's content standards, catering to the unique needs of each student.

• Develop and maintain compliant Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

• Collaborate with general education teachers to achieve the goals set for each student.

• Educate parents on various instructional strategies that can assist their children.

• Prepare necessary documentation related to students' progress and needs.

• Coordinate and facilitate IEP meetings to discuss student progress and strategies.

• Proctor achievement tests and other required assessments, including alternative assessments when necessary.

• Work together with the related services team to ensure the development and monitoring of IEP goals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a State of Ohio Intervention Specialist License.

• Bachelor's degree along with an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.) and web applications.

• A minimum of 1 year of classroom experience is preferred.

• A Master’s Degree with a focus on Special Education is preferred.

• At least 3 years of classroom experience in Special Education is preferred.
