Interpreter, Romanian to English

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Moldova, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls with professionalism, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the industry-specific vocabulary, particularly in healthcare and medical contexts.

• Ensure all messages are rendered accurately and completely, without any additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver top-notch customer service during interpreting sessions.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing accurate and complete interpretations.

• Implement Standards of Practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Romanian."

• At least 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation with a reputable interpretation company (preferred).

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and cultural tolerance.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
