Interpreter, Romanian – English OPI/VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Hungary.

📋 Description

• Professionally handle incoming calls in accordance with the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical sectors.

• Accurately convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any part.

• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the interpreting process.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and complete interpretations of messages.

• Adhere to established Standards of Practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Maintain communication and provide updates to your team leader.

• Follow the dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Romanian."

• Over 1 year of experience in over-the-telephone interpretation within a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Knowledge of legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are a plus (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and appreciation for diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
