Interpreter, Bosnian <> English, OPI/VRI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

📋 Description

• Respond to calls in a professional manner, adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be ready to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the industry in which the interpreter operates (particularly healthcare and medical).

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without adding, omitting, or substituting any information.

• Deliver the highest standard of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and Clients by providing precise and thorough interpretation of messages.

• Apply established standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader regularly.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Bosnian".

• At least 1 year of over-the-phone interpretation experience with a reputable interpretation company.

• Strong understanding of medical terminology.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is an advantage.

• International certifications in the healthcare sector are beneficial (such as PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• High emotional intelligence and the ability to accommodate diverse cultures.

• Excellent communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention abilities.
