Internship – Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Preparation and analysis of anonymized patient data.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis and identify relevant predictors.

• Develop and compare statistical and machine-learning models.

• Perform feature engineering and select appropriate model variables.

• Train, evaluate, and optimize predictive models.

• Assess model performance, robustness, and generalizability.

• Aid in developing suitable validation strategies.

• Visualize and clearly communicate results.

• Interpret results in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

• Assist in translating scientific findings into practical digital health and healthcare applications.

• Document analyses and prepare results for both internal and external use.

• Contribute to predicting disease trajectories, treatment needs, healthcare events, or other patient-relevant outcomes.

• Collaborate on generating high-quality real-world evidence and developing innovative digital health solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a university or ETH degree program in a technical or quantitatively focused field, such as mathematics, statistics, biostatistics, or data science.

• Proficient in spoken and written German.

• Strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.

• Keen interest in data analysis and predictive modeling.

• Programming skills, preferably in R.

• Independent, structured, and meticulous approach to work.

• Experience with medical data is an advantage but not mandatory.
