International Trust Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Act as the main point of contact for trust operations for EMEA and international teams, assisting our clients, prospects, and partners.

• Address incoming security requests such as security questionnaires and assessments initiated by customers, utilizing and enhancing AI-assisted assurance tools to boost response speed, accuracy, and consistency.

• Aid in the creation and upkeep of the knowledge base that fuels AI-assisted responses, ensuring control mappings are up-to-date and consistently improving the quality of answers in relation to Absolute’s actual control environment.

• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Engineering, and Legal teams to facilitate deals that involve security review processes.

• Assist in customer trust evaluations, due diligence efforts, and regional customer trust escalations.

• Monitor and report on performance metrics related to regional assurance.

• Contribute to the implementation of an internal IT control self-assessment program, evaluating technical, administrative, and physical controls while providing insights on their design and effectiveness.

• Organize external audit engagements (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, and others), working with third-party auditors to ensure that audit materials are well-structured and submitted punctually.

• Conduct periodic gap assessments against relevant frameworks and contribute to remediation strategies.

• Assist in adhering to GDPR and regional regulatory compliance mandates.

• Provide regular updates on compliance status, audit risk, and changes related to audits for team leadership and key stakeholders.

• Engage in and enhance Absolute’s risk management program, including activities related to risk identification, assessment, and treatment.

• Help with risk reporting and escalate issues to team leadership as needed.

• Support vendor risk management efforts, including evaluating new vendors and coordinating re-assessments based on risk tiers.

• Complete vendor security evaluations received from Absolute’s suppliers and partners.

• Monitor the resolution of identified vendor issues and maintain records of vendor assurance.

• Work collaboratively across teams to ensure policies, standards, processes, and operating procedures are accurate and current, including process-flow diagrams and SOPs.

• Identify and propose opportunities to diminish manual effort, enhance audit readiness, and bridge gaps between requirements and actual business operations.

• Support AI-enhanced workflows and initiatives aimed at operational efficiency.

• Lead process improvement initiatives in the region and maintain metrics and reports on operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC), information security, auditing, compliance, or trust operations.

• Experience with external audit engagements (such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or similar) and knowledge of how audit evidence is collected and managed.

• Familiarity with GDPR and regional regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience in completing customer-facing security questionnaires, RFPs, or similar assurance requests.

• Understanding of key control domains: risk management, change management, incident management, identity and access management, and business continuity/disaster recovery.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to articulate compliance and risk topics effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Highly organized, self-driven, and capable of managing several concurrent workflows.

• Proficient in utilizing AI tools (e.g., Claude, Copilot, or similar) to expedite compliance research, document drafting, and framework gap analysis.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Law, or a related field — or equivalent professional experience.

• Progress towards or interest in obtaining CISA, CRISC, or a related certification is a plus.
