International Finance Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Act as the primary finance partner for Instacart’s international growth, managing comprehensive financial forecasting, business planning, and performance oversight for new and developing markets.

• Collaborate closely with leaders across various functions (e.g., Business Development, Corporate Development, Operations, Strategy, Legal, Policy) to assess market entry opportunities, evaluate investment trade-offs, and deliver clear recommendations that influence Instacart’s global expansion strategy.

• Construct and enhance intricate financial models to facilitate scenario planning in a highly uncertain environment, empowering the executive team to make swift, data-informed decisions.

• Generate actionable insights through the analysis of market dynamics, unit economics, and operational performance across different countries; identify risks, uncover opportunities, and ensure accountability with senior stakeholders.

• Oversee the monthly and quarterly actuals versus forecast (AvF) process for International, which includes variance analysis, commentary, and the presentation of results to senior leadership; translate financial performance into coherent business narratives that link drivers to outcomes and guide future forecast modifications.

• Excel in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, creating structure when necessary while adapting processes, forecasts, and recommendations as the International landscape swiftly evolves.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Data Science, or a related discipline.

• Over 6 years of experience in Strategic/Corporate Finance, FP&A, or another analytical area, supporting high-growth public technology firms.

• Advanced skills in financial modeling, forecasting, and data-driven decision-making.

• Exceptional attention to detail, with strong project management and organizational capabilities.

• Effective and polished communication skills, with experience in preparing and presenting executive-level materials to VP/C-suite stakeholders.

• Ability to cultivate trusted partnerships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels.

• Proactive mindset with the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, changing environment and confidently navigate ambiguity.
