This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +2 more countries.
• Act as the clinical and scientific authority for AVITA Medical products, encompassing RECELL® and other existing and future technologies.
• Convey scientific principles, clinical justifications, published research, and health-economic advantages to healthcare professionals, distributor partners, and internal teams.
• Provide hands-on clinical training and procedural assistance, including device setup, skin processing, dressing changes, postoperative care, and best practices.
• Offer clinical education and procedural guidance to surgeons, nurses, burn units, trauma centers, plastic surgery teams, operating room personnel, and other healthcare professionals.
• Cultivate relationships with key opinion leaders, investigators, clinicians, hospital stakeholders, and distributor partners.
• Facilitate balanced, accurate, and compliant scientific discussions regarding clinical data, product efficacy, and emerging evidence.
• Assist with investigator-initiated research, company-sponsored clinical trials, publication planning, abstracts, posters, podium presentations, manuscripts, and evidence generation.
• Collaborate with Commercial, Marketing, Medical Affairs, Clinical Affairs, and distributor partners to identify customer needs and prioritize educational initiatives.
• Design and implement clinical education programs, peer-to-peer learning initiatives, workshops, and product training sessions.
• Educate and support distributor partners within assigned markets.
• Aid in product evaluations, launches, congress events, and educational activities.
• Convert clinical and customer feedback into suggestions for educational materials, product enhancements, usability projects, and future product innovation.
• Keep abreast of developments in wound care, burn care, reconstructive surgery, regenerative medicine, skin biology, competitor technologies, and relevant literature.
• Complete CRM documentation, training records, expense reports, congress summaries, and field activity reports.
• Manage multiple projects while prioritizing customer needs and departmental goals.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Life Sciences, Medicine, Public Health, or a related healthcare field is mandatory.
• An advanced clinical, scientific, or medical degree is preferred.
• Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) credentials are highly desired.
• Active clinical registration or licensure is required where applicable.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in clinical education, medical device field support, Medical Affairs, clinical research, burn care, trauma, plastic surgery, or acute wound management.
• Experience in supporting healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders, and multidisciplinary clinical teams.
• Background in clinical research, investigator-initiated studies, scientific communications, abstracts, posters, protocols, or manuscripts is preferred.
• Proficient in understanding, interpreting, and communicating complex scientific and clinical information to varied audiences.
• Willingness to travel extensively across assigned international markets; approximately 70% travel is required.
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of burn care, acute wound management, skin regeneration, clinical research principles, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), RECELL technology, and supporting clinical evidence.
• Strong scientific literacy with the ability to critically assess published literature.
• Knowledge of operating room etiquette, aseptic techniques, infection control, and hospital credentialing requirements.
• Exceptional project management, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Capable of working independently and collaborating with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Marketing, Clinical Affairs, and international distributor organizations.
• Dedication to adhering to applicable regulatory standards, including EU MDR, GDPR, promotional practice standards, and AVITA Medical policies.
• Competency to observe universal precautions for infection control against blood-borne pathogens and infectious diseases.
• Positions requiring the Respiratory Protection Program mandate medical clearance and successful completion of a fit test for respirator use.
• $48,000 variable compensation program.
