This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Developing and overseeing MEDA’s internal communications "operating system".

• Ensuring that staff from all regions and functions are informed, aligned, and engaged with the New Horizons 2030 strategy.

• Converting strategy into clear narratives that enhance culture, alignment, and organizational performance.

• Occasional international travel may be required.

• Manage and enhance MEDA’s internal communication channels, including Monday MEDA Meetings, Town Halls, MEDABytes, and various SharePoint hubs and leadership updates.

• Compose organization-wide communications to keep staff informed and aligned.

• Establish and uphold a consistent communication rhythm to enhance clarity throughout the organization.

• Create feedback mechanisms to facilitate two-way communication and ensure internal alignment.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in internal communications, organizational communications, change communications, or a related field.

• At least 4 years of experience in a strategic communications role.

• Exceptional editing skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and WordPress, or a similar content management system.

• Certification in communications, change management, or employee experience is beneficial.

• Understanding and support of MEDA’s faith statement, values, and goals.

• Knowledge and appreciation of business principles, international development, and MEDA’s strategy of creating business solutions to alleviate poverty.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas simply.

• Self-driven with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

• Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style.

• Experience in supporting communications within a global organization.

• Sound judgment regarding sensitive information and timing.

• Proficiency in French is an advantage.
