Internal Audit IT Associate Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete execution of IT and security audits, which encompass cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP), application security, identity and access management, vendor/third-party risk, and blockchain-related products such as wallets and cold storage.

• Lead the planning, fieldwork, and management of stakeholders during audits, consolidating findings into evidence-based reports and presentations aimed at senior leadership and the Audit Committee.

• Guide and develop junior audit team members who support your projects, offering daily direction, reviewing workpapers, and mentoring on both technical and professional development.

• Promote ongoing monitoring and validation of resolved audit findings, keeping track of management responses and highlighting any delays or emerging risk themes.

• Collaborate with Engineering, Security, and IT leadership to pinpoint control enhancements and risk mitigation opportunities, while maintaining third-line independence and objectivity.

• Maintain a current understanding of IT, security, and financial services regulatory requirements to evaluate their effects on Coinbase's control environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in IT internal audit, information security audit, or first-line technology/security operations, including a minimum of 1 year in managing audit processes and teams.

• Practical audit experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP), covering IAM policies, security configurations, encryption, logging, and network architecture.

• Familiarity with audit and security frameworks such as NIST CSF, COBIT, SOC 2, or ITIL, along with relevant certifications (CISA, CISSP, CIA, or CISM) preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple concurrent audits across different time zones and effectively communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Knowledge of crypto, blockchain infrastructure, or audit environments within financial services.

• Responsible use of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to produce business-ready outputs and enhance workflow efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality.
