Intern – Payments and Digital Financial Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Carry out both primary and secondary research to assist with project outputs.

• Generate research outputs, which include data collection, literature reviews, and landscape analyses.

• Collaborate on client deliverables while working under supervision.

• Adhere to deadlines and proactively communicate when facing challenges.

• Aid in proposal development by conducting research, gathering data, and drafting designated sections.

• Create concept notes and presentation slides for client pitches.

• Assist with business development efforts as instructed by senior team members.

• Engage in at least one working group, such as Recruitment, Partnership, Communication, or PR.

• Contribute to initiatives and deliverables of the working group.

• Build foundational knowledge in payments and digital financial services.

• Request feedback and integrate it into your work.

• Support the design, implementation, and assessment of digital payment strategies and initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Finance, Statistics, Data Science, or a related area.

• Outstanding academic record.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• High attention to detail and a thorough approach to data and analysis.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

• Significant, demonstrable interest in payment systems, digital finance, and digital financial inclusion.

• Enthusiastic, self-driven, and energetic.

• Committed to integrity and ethical conduct.

• Quick learner with a sense of curiosity and initiative.
