This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee software developers, designers, artists, animators, and testers to collaborate with client team members, guiding the delivery of video games.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks throughout the production process, employing project management methodologies.
• Develop roadmaps and task breakdowns while keeping client stakeholders informed about status and risks.
• Anticipate project expenses, manage financials, and coordinate invoicing.
• Mentor and develop your team by conducting regular one-on-one meetings and annual performance evaluations.
• Continuously assess priorities, staffing, and resources, and thoughtfully adjust business strategies to respond to evolving requirements.
• Ensure visibility both internally and externally; present updates and reviews to company leadership, internal teams, and clients.
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to help the team overcome obstacles and navigate through uncertainties.
• Playtest the game to represent the player’s perspective, providing and sharing feedback across various internal teams.
• Strive to understand both client and team circumstances to reach consensus. Be inquisitive about the tasks your team must execute to align delivery with client objectives.
• Maintain strong ownership of project outcomes while proactively identifying areas for enhancement.

• Travel to external client locations for on-site relationship development.
• A minimum of 4 years of leadership experience in gaming production, game project management, or consumer-facing software application development for external stakeholders.
• Proven experience in establishing long-term, trust-based relationships with clients.
• Collaborated closely with clients to deliver products that meet requirements within contract constraints for the project.
• Managed expectations effectively, ensuring clients have a realistic understanding of project conditions.
• Balanced client objectives with team capacity and studio well-being.
• Comfortable facilitating discussions regarding project adjustments, risks, and new opportunities in a diplomatic, calm, and solutions-oriented manner.
• At least 4 years of project management experience, including various development methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Kanban.
• Experience in initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing software development projects, from initial pitch to certification.
• Served as the primary leader responsible for delivering at least one project with a team of 5 or more members and a budget exceeding $200K CAD.
• Experience working independently to plan, estimate, schedule, and track work across development, design, art, and testing disciplines.
• Familiarity with multiple project and product management tools for task tracking and documentation, including Jira, Confluence, ADO, Excel, Miro, Figma, Trello, etc.
• Understanding of cross-discipline workflows and pipelines (art, engineering, design, QA, animation, etc.).
• Managed scope, resource allocations, financials, and drafted contracts.
• Developed and implemented processes to keep projects on track, including risk management and dependency tracking.
• Created recovery strategies when projects fell behind or altered direction.
• Over 4 years of experience supporting and developing medium-sized teams of 5 or more individuals with a high degree of autonomy.
• Provided mentorship, guidance, and constructive feedback to facilitate team members' career advancement across various disciplines.
• Adopted a 'people first' approach when making decisions to support their team's work-life balance.
• Encouraged open communication, clarity, and cross-discipline collaboration.
• Identified team needs early and took proactive measures to resolve interpersonal issues or performance gaps, demonstrating emotional intelligence and compassion.

• Education or background in IT, interactive media, digital art, software testing, game design, or software development fields.
