This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Offer guidance and assistance for reclamation, mine closure, permitting, and assessment initiatives.
• Spearhead the formulation of cost estimates for mine closure projects and life-of-mine financial projections.
• Engage in and support workshops and engagement sessions focused on closure principles, visions, objectives, and end land use planning.
• Assist in the creation of reclamation and closure plans (RCP) for assessment and permitting purposes.
• Aid in the formulation of alternative assessments, reclamation research plans, and the development of closure strategies.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement for reclamation and closure initiatives.
• Provide technical expertise in closure and reclamation planning throughout all phases of the mine lifecycle.
• Contribute to the advancement of the Reclamation and Mine Closure Department/Group from a strategic standpoint.
• Assist in the execution of reclamation closure strategies and offer insights regarding compliance with plan implementation in relation to regulatory approvals.
• Support activities pertaining to environmental assessments, licensing, and permit applications for Ensero projects and clients, with guidance from Senior technical subject matter experts.
• Collaborate with technical teams and proactively seek opportunities to enhance project environmental design elements.
• Create integrated project timelines including critical paths for the comprehensive tasks and activities essential for the successful execution of projects and studies.
• Conduct summary and technical reporting for both internal and external requirements (e.g., regulatory applications).
• Participate in workshops and various meetings related to technical programs.
• Travel to prospective and current worksites to collaborate with on-site personnel, vendors, clients, and regulatory representatives for reclamation and mine closure projects.
• Provide technical insights to projects within areas of expertise.
• Collaborate with other technical specialists to achieve multidisciplinary project objectives.
• Perform any other related duties as required.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline.
• 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in mining, remediation, reclamation, mine closure, permitting, or comparable fields.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with team members while also leading independent projects.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and other business applications.
• Capability to prioritize tasks efficiently and work autonomously or as part of a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with stakeholders at all levels.
