Intermediate Construction Surveyor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Execute and manage the planning and execution of construction surveys and drafting for large-scale civil construction projects.

• Supervise and conduct survey needs to support construction operations, including modeling and layout for essential project structures, as well as completing as-built surveys.

• Analyze data from as-built surveys and perform quantity calculations for progress claims.

• Keep precise survey records and maintain associated documentation.

• Create drafts for various drawings needed for pre-construction planning, interim and close-out documentation, or similar reporting tasks.

• Obtain, oversee, and sustain survey instruments and related equipment.

• Comply with all safety protocols and procedures.

• Follow quality management systems and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to survey activities and their deliverables.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate degree or college diploma.

• At least 3 years of experience in surveying.

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

• Understanding of relevant Health & Safety regulations.

• Operational experience with DGPS (Trimble R12 or equivalent), Total Station (SX10 or equivalent), and Drone (Phantom 4 Pro or equivalent) equipment.

• Proficient in computer skills, with expertise in MS Office, ACAD Civil 3D, or similar modeling and engineering-based drafting software.

• Self-motivated individual capable of establishing standards of excellence in safety and quality.

• Strong work ethic with the capability to lead a team or work independently.

• Must be physically fit, able to work outdoors in various weather conditions, and regularly lift 20kg of equipment.

• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
