This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Collaborate and assist the design team throughout all stages of various design projects, spanning from design development to construction management and installation.
• Support the sourcing of furniture, fabrics, fixtures, and finishes that align with client requirements, the design team's vision, and the project budget.
• Create studies on furniture, fabrics, and materials for in-house designers.
• Prepare and uphold finish schedules, specifications, furnishing budgets, product details, and shop drawings.
• Participate in meetings with clients, architects, contractors, and vendors as required.
• Aid in the scheduling and organization of installations, conveying relevant information to the design team.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with clients, design showrooms, and vendors.
• Attend design presentations, progress review meetings, frame walks, project installations, final walks, and any follow-up meetings that are necessary.
• Assist in managing vendor invoices for processing and payment as needed.
• Keep up-to-date with design trends, building codes, regulations, and industry standards pertinent to both residential and commercial design.
• Support the VP of Design and Creative Designer with special design projects as required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in Interior Design or a related discipline.
• Preferred experience in hospitality, multi-family, and commercial design; senior living design experience is not mandatory.
• Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, InDesign, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Sketchup.
• Familiarity with Building and ADA codes is preferred.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the capability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
• Strong multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management abilities, with the capacity to perform effectively under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
• Active and Unrestricted Motor Vehicle License: moderate travel (including overnight trips and flights) is necessary.
