Intellectual Property Specialist Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Manage strategic Intellectual Property issues

• Assist in the safeguarding and improvement of intangible assets

• Submit trademark applications to the Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI)

• Draft oppositions to applications from third parties

• Perform preliminary trademark searches

• Evaluate trade dress

• Address litigation matters

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree

• Current registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)

• Proven experience in filing trademark applications with INPI

• Demonstrated experience in drafting oppositions to third-party applications

• Background in conducting preliminary trademark searches

• Experience in evaluating trade dress

• Background in litigation

• Proficiency in English at an advanced to fluent level

• Experience with technology transfer agreements is a plus
