This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.
• Assist in enforcement activities, including issuing cease and desist letters and handling disputes.
• Collaborate with international legal counsel for global filings.
• Perform trademark and patent research utilizing relevant databases.
• Prepare and submit trademark applications along with required documentation.
• Work closely with internal teams to bolster brand protection efforts.
• Organize meetings, manage calendars, and oversee deadlines across various teams.
• Provide administrative and operational assistance to intellectual property attorneys.
• Aid in billing entries, fee monitoring, and scheduling tasks.
• Ensure precise maintenance of client portfolios in internal systems.
• File and systematically arrange legal documents such as declarations, assignments, and powers of attorney.
• Prepare intake documentation, engagement letters, and monitor leads.
• Assist in the onboarding process of new clients into IP management systems.
• Support trademark intake and perform initial clearance assessments.
• Act as the primary liaison for clients concerning trademark status and updates.
• Keep intellectual property docket systems updated and maintained.
• Monitor deadlines and guarantee timely submission of all IP-related filings.
• Draft and handle responses to Office Actions, Statements of Use, and other relevant filings.
• A minimum of 2 years of remote work experience is required.
• Strong English communication skills are necessary.
• Experience working with U.S.-based companies or law firms is preferred.
• Prior experience in a legal or law firm setting is strongly preferred.
• Experience in intellectual property, including trademark or patent work, is a plus.
• Familiarity with IP databases such as USPTO or WIPO is advantageous.
• Experience with CRM systems and document management tools is preferred.
• Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• A collaborative mindset with a strong team player attitude.
• Capacity to perform under pressure while ensuring accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills are essential.
