This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Oversee testing and quality assurance initiatives for Navy Mutual software applications, primarily focusing on the Policy Administration System and its integrations with Salesforce CRM, MuleSoft middleware, payment platforms, customer-facing applications, and other enterprise systems.

• Formulate, maintain, and implement thorough test strategies, test plans, test cases, regression suites, and test scripts that are in line with business and technical requirements.

• Conduct and coordinate various testing types including System Testing, Integration Testing, End-to-End Testing, Regression Testing, Smoke Testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Ensure that software releases fulfill functional, technical, integration, and business requirements prior to deployment.

• Assist in production validation activities and provide Go/No-Go recommendations during software releases.

• Confirm enterprise data flows and business processes across interconnected applications.

• Test REST and SOAP APIs utilizing Postman, verifying requests, responses, authentication, business rules, HTTP status codes, and error handling.

• Evaluate MuleSoft integrations using Anypoint Platform, validating API orchestration, routing, transformations, field mappings, middleware processing, and system integrations.

• Verify JSON and XML payloads, ensuring correct formatting, required fields, nested objects, arrays, data types, and response accuracy.

• Validate backend data by comparing source and target systems to guarantee data integrity, completeness, consistency, and accurate processing.

• Assess secure file transfers using WinSCP (SFTP), validating inbound and outbound integration files, scheduled batch jobs, CSV, TXT, XML, and JSON file processing.

• Troubleshoot integration issues leveraging API responses, MuleSoft logs, payload comparisons, correlation IDs, application logs, and backend validation.

• Ensure precise synchronization of data across Salesforce, Policy Administration Systems, payment gateways, customer portals, and downstream enterprise applications.

• Collaborate with technical teams to develop, maintain, and enhance automated testing capabilities.

• Conduct automated regression testing using Selenium WebDriver, RestAssured, Java, JUnit, and Maven.

• Engage in release planning, deployment support, release readiness reviews, and post-production validation.

• Analyze application issues, integration failures, API defects, middleware issues, and unexpected system behavior.

• Document, track, and manage defects throughout the SDLC utilizing Jira and Azure DevOps.

• Coordinate defect resolution with developers, vendors, business stakeholders, and integration teams.

• Validate defect fixes through functional, regression, API, and end-to-end testing prior to production deployment.

• Work closely with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts, Operations, Accounting, Compliance, Customer Service, external vendors, and Subject Matter Experts throughout project lifecycles.

• Participate in requirements gathering, design reviews, and implementation planning sessions.

• Effectively communicate testing progress, risks, issues, and outcomes to stakeholders in a timely manner.

• Assess and enhance QA methodologies, testing standards, and testing documentation practices.

• Suggest process enhancements that improve testing effectiveness and software quality.

• Aid in audits, quality reviews, and post-implementation assessments.

• Assist in establishing and maintaining best practices for enterprise testing and quality assurance.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Technology, or a related field, or a comparable combination of education and experience.

• At least 3-5 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, systems analysis, or enterprise application support.

• Proven experience testing enterprise business applications and handling complex system integrations.

• Demonstrated experience in developing and executing test plans, test cases, test scripts, and testing documentation.

• Experience performing:

• Integration Testing

• End-to-End Testing

• User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

• Smoke Testing

• Regression Testing

• API Testing

• Familiarity with supporting or executing automated regression testing.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving capabilities.

• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

• Outstanding written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
