Intake Therapist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive biopsychosocial intake assessments to assess client needs, strengths, and readiness for treatment.

• Act as the initial point of contact for prospective clients.

• Assess and determine the most suitable level of care for each individual client.

• Clearly communicate program expectations, treatment options, and subsequent steps to clients and their families.

• Work collaboratively with the clinical treatment team, providing assessment insights for tailored care planning.

• Identify obstacles to treatment engagement and address concerns with clients and their families.

• Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant documentation of assessments, recommendations, and communications.

• Keep updated on best practices in intake assessment and client engagement to optimize the admissions process.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master's degree in psychology, counseling, social work, marriage and family therapy, or a related field.

• Active state independent licensure as a LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, or an equivalent in Massachusetts.

• Willingness and capability to obtain additional state licenses as necessary.

• Openness to providing formal clinical supervision to associate-level clinicians, if eligible based on licensure status and relevant state regulations.

• Background in behavioral therapy and counseling.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to function independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and various software applications.
