Intake Specialist, Healthcare

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Schedule appointments for new patients.

• Manage and confirm patient appointments through phone, email, and our scheduling system.

• Fill appointment slots with new patients.

• Accurately collect, verify, and organize patient intake information.

• Assist patients in preparing for their telehealth appointments, including basic technical troubleshooting.

• Ensure effective communication with clinicians and other internal teams.

• Proactively handle appointment cancellations by re-engaging patients or providing alternative options.

• Promptly document all interactions and updates in our EMR system.

• Follow up with patients as necessary to ensure continuity of care and satisfaction.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for effective interactions with patients, the medical team, and internal team members.

• High level of professionalism in communication, along with patience and a caring attitude towards patients and their families.

• Proven experience in a call center environment, handling high volumes of outbound and/or inbound calls.

• Prior experience in telehealth is advantageous.

• Familiarity with Medicare and insurance concepts.

• Demonstrated efficiency in patient documentation with strong typing skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

• Experience in navigating multiple systems and completing documentation simultaneously during outbound calls.

• Strong overall tech-savviness and ability to quickly learn new software and systems.

• Proficiency with Google Office Suite.

• Experience working with the elderly.

• Excellent organizational and management skills, being highly organized in tracking complex information flows.

• Strong ability to quickly adapt to defined workflows and mandatory scripting requirements.

• Comfort and proficiency in a remote office setting.

• Experience working with the elderly population, showcasing patience and empathy.
