Intake Representative Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia.

📋 Description

• Oversee and monitor non-clinical staff on a daily basis, as assigned; provide the supervisor with feedback regarding employees’ performance across all treatment types.

• Offer expertise in clinical and/or review processes; address questions or concerns from customers and providers.

• Support the initial orientation and training of new team members.

• Develop daily training schedules for staff as directed by the supervisor.

• Ensure timely completion of daily training and communicate relevant observations regarding individual and team productivity and performance to the supervisor.

• Assist in the application and development of work processes for non-clinical staff.

• Maintain and organize files and records, tracking and monitoring due dates for action items.

• Conduct follow-up and monitoring of non-clinical staff during their performance, providing the supervisor with insights on these activities.

• Screen and address client or customer complaints, assisting with follow-up and resolution.

• Respond to incoming telephone requests.

• Help organize and schedule Open Forum huddles.

• Participate in training for the Provider Portal.

• Identify training needs or opportunities for process or documentation improvement, collaborating with the Supervisor and manager to update procedures as required.

• Recognize and report HIPAA and PHI violations in the designated database.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or its equivalent.

• An equivalent combination of education and/or work experience in a related field may be accepted.

• 4 years of relevant work experience.

• 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.

• 4 years of direct customer service experience.

• Preferred: Post-secondary education or certification in a related field.

• Current and active certifications such as RHIT, RHIA, CCA, or CCS.

• Experience with Medicaid is a plus.

• You possess: Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite.

• Full proficiency in web-based review workflows and processes.

• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology along with diagnosis and/or procedure coding.
