
Insurance Specialist β Revenue Cycle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky.
β’ Completes details on insurance documentation.
β’ Fills out 1500 HCFA insurance forms according to specifications mandated by insurance providers to ensure prompt payment.
β’ Maintains a solid understanding of billing specifications for Medicare, Medicaid, Tricare, and Commercial insurance.
β’ Reviews 1500 forms for demographic, CPT, and charge accuracy.
β’ Assists insurance companies with inquiries about accounts concerning insurance benefit deposits.
β’ Follows up on outstanding claims for both insurance and patients.
β’ Identifies overpayments on patient accounts and initiates the refund and adjustment process.
β’ Communicates with the Accounts Receivable Manager regarding areas of concern.
β’ High school diploma or equivalent is required.
β’ Productive typing speed of at least 30 words per minute is required.
β’ Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are required.
β’ Ability to maintain accurate financial records and perform mathematical tasks is required.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD-10, and CPT coding is required.
β’ At least two years of experience in a medical billing setting, dealing with insurance and patient claims processing, is required.
