This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Oversee the assigned claims inventory to minimize outstanding accounts receivable balances.
β’ Investigate and address denials, rejections, and processing errors related to insurance claims.
β’ Engage with patients and insurance providers concerning billing and reimbursement inquiries.
β’ Verify and update patient demographic details, insurance, provider, and payer information.
β’ Ascertain insurance eligibility, benefits, coverage specifics, and patient financial responsibilities.
β’ Acquire referrals, authorizations, and necessary documentation for claims processing.
β’ Utilize payer portals, billing systems, and revenue cycle software for account investigations and claim follow-ups.
β’ Clarify billing charges, insurance benefits, payment responsibilities, and financial assistance options.
β’ Address inquiries related to claims, benefits, payments, and account balances.
β’ Collaborate with claims, collections, and revenue cycle teams to resolve account issues and enhance payment results.
β’ Accurately document account activities and ensure compliance with payer and client standards.
β’ Work MondayβFriday, from 8 am to 5 pm EST or CST.
β’ High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel is necessary.
β’ Capability to navigate multiple systems and applications concurrently.
β’ A download speed of 30 Mbps or higher is required.
β’ An upload speed of 10 Mbps or higher is necessary.
β’ Access to a secure, private workspace where confidential and protected health information can be viewed and discussed without interruptions.
β’ Reliable high-speed internet service is essential.
β’ Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire.
β’ The company does not offer employment visa sponsorship.
β’ Currently, candidates residing in New York are not eligible for consideration.
β’ A pre-employment background check is mandatory.
β’ A minimum of 2 years of medical billing and insurance follow-up experience is preferred.
β’ Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance carriers is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with claims resolution, denial management, and reimbursement processes is preferred.
β’ Experience with Professional Billing and CMS-1500 claim forms is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with NextGen and/or MS4 systems is preferred.
