This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee, mentor, and guide a team of Operations Analysts and Specialists.
• Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate career advancement.
• Supervise invoicing, cash applications, agent commission processing, aging reports, billing discrepancies, and comprehensive reporting.
• Manage bank account activities, oversee cash flow, perform reconciliations, and resolve banking transaction discrepancies.
• Coordinate surplus lines reporting and tax submissions in collaboration with Accounting, Finance, and Compliance teams.
• Monitor workflows, allocate resources, track productivity, and implement process enhancements.
• Analyze operational data, identify trends, generate insights, and deliver actionable reports to leadership.
• Collaborate with Product, Support, Collections, and other internal teams to address client issues and enhance systems.
• Organize audit activities and maintain documentation to ensure readiness for external audits.
• Lead or assist in the implementation of new tools, systems, and workflows.
• Evaluate staffing requirements and adjust resources in response to business needs.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and high performance within the team.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a department or team in an office setting.
• A minimum of 5 additional years of relevant professional experience in operations, finance, or insurance.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong skills in Excel formulas and pivot tables, as well as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Excellent technical reporting skills and a strong capability to analyze and synthesize data from various systems.
• Experience in conducting root cause analysis and presenting actionable insights.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to clearly articulate complex issues and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Familiarity with Surplus Lines insurance products.
• Knowledge of surplus lines insurance, regulatory requirements, and operational workflows, including invoicing, claims, and compliance reporting.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable, cash flow management, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Ability to interpret complex data sets, identify trends, and convert insights into actionable strategies.
• Proficient in identifying inefficiencies, implementing scalable solutions, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Comfortable managing changing priorities and taking initiative in uncertain or evolving situations.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred, ideally in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
