Insurance and Billing Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Hampshire.

📋 Description

• Verify the eligibility and benefits of insurance for both new and existing clients.

• Prepare, submit, and oversee insurance authorizations and treatment plans.

• Keep precise insurance and authorization records within the electronic health record system.

• Assist with billing by ensuring that authorizations correspond with scheduled services.

• Liaise with insurance providers regarding authorizations, benefits, and payer requirements.

• Investigate claims issues and aid in the documentation and follow-up of billing.

• Ensure accurate record-keeping while maintaining HIPAA compliance and confidentiality.

• Collaborate with the Insurance & Billing Manager and clinical teams to facilitate timely client services.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be a resident of New Hampshire.

• Available to work during Eastern Standard Time business hours.

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.

• At least one year of experience in medical billing, insurance verification, revenue cycle, or healthcare administration.

• Preferred experience with commercial insurance and/or Medicaid.

• Experience in ABA, behavioral health, or pediatric healthcare is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Experience with EHR systems, ideally RethinkBH, is a plus.

• Must have a dedicated, quiet, and professional workspace.

• Reliable high-speed internet connection is essential.

• Ability to uphold HIPAA compliance and safeguard confidential information while working remotely.

• Capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

• Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
