This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the delivery of instrumentation and controls (I&C) maintenance training for new employees and technicians within member organizations.
• Collaborate with the Common Initial Training team to establish procedures and program responsibilities.
• Engage directly with students to reinforce learning, ensure mastery of concepts, and provide educational support.
• Monitor student performance, track progress, and confirm completion of required content.
• Maintain training records and ensure compliance with established procedures and standards.
• Implement the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) in training initiatives.
• Coordinate with member organizations to address site-specific training requirements.
• Enhance training materials and methods of delivery.
• Create new training content and modernization initiatives.
• Assist in research related to I&C, technical training, workforce development, and learning innovations.
• Work autonomously on technical tasks and carry out technical searches.
• Convey strategies and outcomes to members, prospective members, and external stakeholders through reports, meetings, webcasts, workshops, and conferences.
• Oversee project teams to ensure technical and financial goals are achieved.
• Plan and implement complex project work, and prepare and present research findings.
• Manage small to medium-sized projects, budgets, and resources.
• Interact with national and international technical networks.
• Assist in proposal efforts and promotional activities.
• Develop research or service opportunities for EPRI members.
• Offer guidance and mentorship to junior staff.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (engineering, electrical, I&C, or related) or equivalent experience.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• Practical experience as an I&C maintenance technician in a nuclear or regulated setting.
• Industry-recognized training certification is required.
• Proficient knowledge of the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to work directly with learners in a virtual environment and support instructional delivery.
• Experience in supporting formal training programs within nuclear or highly regulated sectors.
• Familiarity with eLearning training authoring tools and processes.
• Exposure to instructional design or curriculum development.
• Experience working with utility or member organizations.
• Knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) or training tracking tools.
• Technical proficiency across related fields.
• Ability to conduct technical searches and evaluate information.
• Skilled in developing technical solutions to intricate problems using creativity and ingenuity.
• Ability to manage small to medium projects, including budgets and resources.
• Proficient in conveying strategies and results through written and verbal communication.
• Capable of supporting complex project planning and execution.
• Ability to engage with national and international technical networks.
