Instructor – Part Time, Flexible

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Facilitates both in-person and virtual instructor-led training across multiple subject areas.

• Accurately assesses the skill levels of participants and tailors the course material to meet individual student requirements.

• Ensures a positive and effective learning environment through consistent classroom and student management techniques.

• Investigates emerging technologies pertinent to cybersecurity and integrates new topics into the development and delivery of cybersecurity content.

• Deploys, maintains, and secures classroom equipment, images, and materials in both virtual settings and facilities worldwide.

• Travels to customer training locations both within and outside the Continental United States.

• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned by management.

⛳️ Requirements

• PCNSE and Palo Alto Networks Certified Security Platform Instructor certifications are mandatory!

• Prior experience in delivering technical training in classroom settings or small group formats.

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science/Technology, Cyber Security, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.

• Information Security Professional with substantial experience and expertise in cybersecurity.

• Outstanding and effective communication skills in a classroom setting.

• Proficient with Microsoft Windows operating systems, including console and terminal usage.

• This role necessitates extensive experience in successful classroom teaching techniques, particularly in delivering technical training to adult learners.

• Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

• Advanced knowledge and expertise in cybersecurity consulting and training.

• Capable of delivering strong presentations to instruct and educate students on technical materials and applications.

• Skilled in selecting initial presentation strategies, managing course timing, facilitating learner success opportunities, and resolving behavioral issues among learners.

• Ability to monitor learner progress during instruction, administer assessments, and evaluate the achievement of end-of-course objectives.

• Proficient in engaging learners to identify their educational needs, assisting trainees in setting personal learning goals, helping them apply training content to their roles, and creating opportunities for practice during training sessions.

• Exceptional writing and verbal communication abilities.

• Capable of collaborating with all levels of internal and external clients, from clerks to CEOs.
