Instructor – Facilitator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Conducts assigned courses in both traditional and virtual formats.

• Updates and maintains course materials as necessary.

• Certifies participants in courses following the established certification plan.

• Keeps up-to-date with current management best practices, training methodologies, and relevant organizational activities.

• Collaborates effectively as part of a team.

• Oversees classroom administration tasks (set-up/break down; managing rosters) as a member of a teaching team.

• Engages in professional development opportunities (including adult learning strategies, training techniques, course development skills, etc.).

• Travels as needed to provide instruction.

• Actively engages students with course content in a manner that promotes individual learning.

• Implements adult learning theory principles during course delivery.

• Facilitates group activities in the classroom and evaluates the behaviors that result.

• Oversees student learning activities and participates in coaching to enhance student skills (e.g., listening, questioning, etc.).

• Involved in giving and receiving feedback aimed at fostering personal, team, and organizational development.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Master’s degree (MA/MS) in Business Administration, Adult Learning, Organizational Development, or a similarly relevant field from a regionally accredited institution.

• Three to five years of experience as a facilitator in either a formal traditional or virtual training setting.

• Demonstrates expertise in facilitating learning and transferring job-related knowledge.

• Highly skilled in motivating learners and employing a variety of learning techniques to ensure context-specific education.

• Five years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role.

• Experience in a managerial capacity within federal agencies is highly preferred.
