This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +12 more states.
• Optimize the sales of BioMarin's commercial products within the designated region.
• Meet quarterly and annual sales, market penetration, market share, and profit objectives.
• Develop and implement comprehensive business plans focusing on strategy, disease awareness, patient adherence, and progress monitoring.
• Formulate and execute tailored institutional plans within particular care networks.
• Foster relationships with neurologists, pediatric neurologists, epileptologists, geneticists, nurses, nurse practitioners, genetic counselors, physicians, and institutional personnel.
• Engage with external customers and internal stakeholders both in person and via online platforms.
• Lead by example for fellow Institutional Account Managers.
• Effectively manage the financial aspects of the assigned territory.
• Contribute to business planning sessions, disease awareness initiatives, and professional society gatherings.
• Attain expertise in CLN2 and MPS data and articulate its relevance.
• Provide valuable field insights to internal partners regarding the clinical practices of assigned accounts.
• Exhibit leadership and influence without formal authority within internal teams.
• Adhere to company compliance standards and policies.
• Bachelor's degree is a must.
• An advanced degree or relevant experience in the healthcare sector is preferred.
• 5–7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
• 3–5 years of experience in biotech or specialty sales involving high-cost products.
• Sales experience within hospitals and academic institutions is highly preferred.
• Previous work with orphan-disease products is strongly desired.
• Experience with new product launches is a plus.
• Capability to communicate with customers through online meeting platforms.
• Ability to manage a multi-state territory with a diverse customer base.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, problem-solving, customer management, communication, coordination, follow-up, flexibility, adaptability, and goal-setting skills.
• Must comply with all company policies.
• Overnight travel is required, ranging from 60% to 80% depending on territory geography and business needs.
