Inside Domain Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Deliver technical pre-sales assistance for the Palo Alto Networks - Idira product solutions.

• Actively pursue new sales opportunities by cultivating technical relationships with potential accounts and existing clients.

• Articulate the technical value proposition to both customers and partners.

• Address functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.

• Execute and ensure the success of customer proof-of-concepts.

• Record client feature requests and issues in the CRM system.

• Assist with company and partner seminars as well as industry trade shows.

• Communicate customer requirements to Product Management teams.

• Enhance technical knowledge of Palo Alto Networks - Idira and related technologies.

• Provide mentorship to other system engineers when suitable.

• Develop training materials for the SE organization when appropriate.

• Lead and manage the technology evaluation phase of the sales process.

• Act as the primary technical resource for the commercial sales team and key technical advisor/product advocate.

• Identify technical challenges and design optimal solutions for complex customer infrastructures and data center environments globally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years in Software Presales or a comparable customer-facing role.

• A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required.

• Proficient in Windows/Active Directory administration and operations.

• Knowledge of UNIX/Linux systems.

• Excellent presentation skills with the ability to deliver high-quality product demonstrations to both technical and executive audiences.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to foster relationships at various levels and collaborate across organizations towards solutions.

• Strong leadership and consensus-building capabilities.

• Understanding of security concepts and the development of security roles that meet functional, technical, and regulatory standards.

• Prior experience with Palo Alto Networks - Idira software solutions is preferred, or relevant experience with enterprise applications, security management, systems management, identity management, and/or policy management, particularly IAM and SIEM.

• Operational experience with LDAP directories and LDAP authentication methods.

• Experience with enterprise application authentication is advantageous (e.g., .NET, Java, CLI).

• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) is beneficial.

• Security-related certifications (Security+, CEH, CISSP) are an asset.

• Familiarity with SaaS solutions is a plus.

• Must not require immigration sponsorship; the employer will not support work visa applications.
