Inpatient Medicare & Medicaid Biller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for the compliant, precise, and timely billing of all hospital Medicare and Medicare Advantage patient accounts.

• Identify and rectify errors to facilitate prompt payment of outstanding accounts.

• Generate and submit claims to Medicare and Medicare Advantage.

• Review patient financial records and claims prior to submission.

• Resolve claims edits and requests on a daily basis.

• Analyze claims data.

⛳️ Requirements

• 2-5 years of experience in a hospital environment.

• At least 1 year of experience in Medicare and Medicaid hospital billing and follow-up functions.

• Familiarity with electronic health records and medical billing software.

• Strong analytical skills and compliance issue resolution abilities.

• Knowledge of hospital billing requirements.

• Understanding of billing and payment follow-up time limits established by Medicare.

• Awareness of revenue cycle management best practices.
