This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Delivers virtual assistance to patients who are uninsured or under-insured, helping them assess their eligibility for Medicaid and Financial Assistance programs.
β’ Supports patients throughout the application process via phone communication.
β’ Establishes a connection with patients through empathetic, clear, and professional dialogue.
β’ Aids patients in accurately completing their applications.
β’ Ensures all necessary information is gathered and provides straightforward instructions regarding the documentation required for submission.
β’ Takes responsibility for timely follow-ups and the efficient processing of applications.
β’ Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
β’ Required Experience: 1-2 years in the healthcare sector, social work, or case management environment, with a focus on patient interactions concerning financial matters.
β’ Familiarity with Revenue Cycle operations, including billing, payments, denials, authorizations, and benefit verifications.
β’ Understanding of health insurance regulations.
β’ Knowledge of medical terminology.
β’ Experience in patient access with a background in managed care/insurance.
β’ Proficient math skills.
β’ Capacity to grasp complex state program requirements quickly.
