
Inpatient Corporate Coding Coordinator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Analyze daily DNSP reports and resolve all coding coordinator code holds. Provide education and guidance to coders regarding correct coding based on findings from secondary level reviews.
• Responsible for managing coding/billing editor worklists within Rapid Response, including DRG Downgrade reviews, denial letter analysis, coding review of claims, appeal writing, and rebilling.
• Assist in onboarding new coding staff and deliver system training along with prebill audit reviews.
• Fulfill departmental requests from DRA, Quality Department, Internal Audit, and other entities.
• Conduct Working DR reviews at the end of each month.
• Coding Coordinators support Managers by addressing required DNFC holds to meet expected DNFC targets.
• 3-5 years of experience in acute hospital coding.
• Proficient and knowledgeable in the MS Office suite.
• Capable of analyzing coding-related reports and taking appropriate action.
• Associate’s degree in Health Information Management.
• RHIT or CCS certification.
• Over 5 years of experience in a large, complex, multi-system acute care hospital organization (Preferred).
• Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management (Preferred).
• RHIA and CCS certification (Preferred).
