This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Assess and enhance objectives, business cases, market feasibility, and development viability for each concept.
• Develop comparative estimates to forecast development expenses and evaluate potential financial results of proposed solutions.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to design, manufacture, and test innovative products, processes, or systems.
• Manage relationships with vendors, OEMs, customers, contracts, and navigate the regulatory landscape.
• Implement legal procedures and confidentiality protocols to safeguard intellectual property.
• Ensure that innovations are functional and accepted by the operational team, maintaining transparency regarding those that do not fulfill requirements.
• Share and celebrate failures as opportunities for learning.
• Measure and communicate positive outcomes, highlighting team contributions.
• Foster relationships with individuals from diverse backgrounds and various organizational levels.
• Carry out other assigned duties.
• A minimum of a two-year technical degree or a bachelor's degree in relevant fields (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Construction Management).
• 2-5 years of experience in Innovation, Rapid Prototyping, Product Development, Tool Design & Fabrication, Robotics, Electrical Integration, or related fields.
• Preferred construction experience or in a related field.
• Valid driver's license.
• Strong skills in problem identification and innovative problem-solving.
• Capability to manage multiple complex initiatives and act as a change agent.
• Deep understanding of the built environment, tools, processes, and challenges in construction management.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365 Suite and web applications.
• Basic estimating and scheduling skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.
