Ingeniero/a Mecánico/a de Diseño

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Conduct dimensional surveys of machinery, parts, and physical components.

• Create mechanical fabrication, assembly, and breakdown drawings.

• Design and model mechanical parts, components, and assemblies.

• Document machinery through photographs, measurements, physical samples, and disassembled equipment.

• Prepare calculation reports to validate dimensions, materials, loads, stresses, and functionality.

• Define tolerances, fits, materials, and technical specifications.

• Generate bills of materials (BOM).

• Create diagrams and instructions for assembly and disassembly.

• Assist in the development of operation and maintenance manuals.

• Organize and update the technical documentation for the equipment.

• Collaborate with the team responsible for disassembling and analyzing the machinery.

• Deliver drawings of parts and components, assembly and breakdown drawings, three-dimensional models, calculation reports, bills of materials, manufacturing specifications, and technical operation, assembly, and maintenance manuals.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Design, Mechatronics, or a related field.

• 2 to 4 years of experience in mechanical design, technical drawing, or industrial machinery documentation.

• Experience conducting dimensional surveys from physical parts or equipment.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Experience in 2D and 3D mechanical modeling.

• Knowledge of dimensional and geometric tolerances, preferably GD&T.

• Ability to prepare mechanical calculation reports.

• Familiarity with materials and manufacturing processes.

• Experience interpreting and creating fabrication and assembly drawings.

• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to document technical information accurately.

• Proficiency in SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, or Fusion 360.

• Experience with industrial machinery, production lines, or food processing equipment.

• Knowledge of reverse engineering and component redesign.

• Experience producing technical manuals, bills of materials, and maintenance documentation.

• Technical English proficiency for interpreting information, drawings, and specifications from international suppliers.
