This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the wiring system for fire suppression systems and quad skid in a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

• Collaborate with integration teams and engineering leaders to ensure that designs meet functional, safety, and manufacturability requirements.

• Utilize tools such as Zuken and SolidWorks Electrical to create harnesses and technical documentation.

• Design harnesses for the fire suppression system, including:

• Connections to temperature sensors, horns, actuated valves, and release modules.

• Wiring routes inside and outside the quad pack cabinets.

• Design harnesses for the quad skid, including:

• Connections to DC-DC modules, quad skid management units, and internal sensors.

• Generate 2D technical documentation (wiring diagrams, bills of materials).

• Collaborate with integration teams to ensure that designs meet functional and manufacturing requirements.

• Participate in technical reviews to incorporate feedback and adjust designs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or Mechatronics.

• Knowledge of wiring systems.

• **1 to 3 years of experience**

• Harness design:

• Experience in electrical harness design using Zuken (preferred) or SolidWorks Electrical.

• Ability to select components (connectors, terminals, cables) according to current, voltage, and environmental standards.

• Regulations and Standards:

• Familiarity with regulations such as NFPA 79, UL, IEC 60335 for electrical and fire suppression systems.

• Basic knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code).

• Mechanical-Electrical Integration:

• Ability to collaborate with mechanical design teams to define wiring routes, pass-throughs, and mounting points.

• Experience in designing systems that operate in adverse environmental conditions.

• Technical Documentation:

• Preparation of electrical diagrams in 2D and technical documentation for manufacturing and assembly.

• Use of tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or SolidWorks Electrical for generating plans.
