Infrastructure/Cloud Architecture, z/OS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Design, test, and sustain the software that governs a computer's operating system, hardware, and various systems software.

• Utilize analytical skills to resolve intricate issues.

• Guarantee the security of computer systems.

• Collaborate with IT specialists to conceptualize and implement technological solutions.

• Facilitate root cause analysis discussions for the products.

• Provide guidance on functional objectives related to technologies and communicate results.

• Oversee departments and establish goals based on technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in supporting Mainframe z/OS platforms.

• Serve as the support and domain expert for the z/OS operating system and its components.

• Manage licenses for ISV products and oversee patch management for z/OS.

• Familiarity with SMP/E.

• Experience with upgrades of ISV products.

• Act as the primary support for designated ISV products, including diagnosing z/OS platform system and product issues and conducting root cause analyses.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline is preferred.
