Infrastructure Engineer – Senior

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide strategic recommendations and actively oversee the architecture and network technologies of the environment concerning capacity, throughput, performance, reliability/stability, and overall operational functionality.

• Establish an integrated network architecture for new computer systems and physical infrastructure by installing, configuring, and maintaining firewalls, routers, switches, LAN/WAN/Wireless internet and networks, Internet Service Providers, DNS, security certificates, antivirus/antimalware, VPN access and connectivity, advanced threat protection, and addressing security vulnerabilities to ensure a secure and dependable network infrastructure.

• Design, implement, and manage VoIP and telecommunications systems, which include video conferencing, PBX, instant messaging, call center operations, and other associated services.

• Participate in an on-call rotation and deliver escalated support in the areas of network, security, and communications.

• Document IT infrastructure disaster recovery efforts related to system recovery, internet outages, and comprehensive network disaster recovery scenarios, ensuring compliance with Corporate One and regulatory agency requirements, particularly in the design of these solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in infrastructure engineering or similar roles.

• Prior experience in designing system and network infrastructure with a comprehensive understanding of server and networking technologies.

• Proven experience in managing technology infrastructure, cloud networks, and data centers.

• Familiarity with multi-tenant/multi-site environments.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and Azure.

• Expertise in LAN (Local Area Network), WAN (Wide Area Network), VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) design and implementation.

• Skills in configuring security devices, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems.
