Infrastructure Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage the cloud infrastructure, databases, and core systems utilized by engineering teams.

• Collaborate with backend developers, frontend developers, and other stakeholders to convert their requirements into dependable platform functionalities.

• Take ownership of and enhance our cloud infrastructure, databases, and observability tools.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues related to infrastructure, scaling, and reliability.

• Work on cross-functional projects that integrate the entire Flex experience, from consumer checkout to merchant analytics.

• Develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure, platform services, and on-call runbooks.

• Foster a culture of learning, problem-solving, and operational excellence.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and managing production infrastructure at scale.

• Practical experience with AWS, database operations and tuning (Postgres or similar), and infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar).

• Resourceful, inquisitive, and adept at rapidly learning new tools.

• Flourish in fast-paced, dynamic environments and enjoy assuming various roles.

• Collaborative mindset with a passion for working across teams to address challenges.

• Strong execution focus, always considering the end user.

• Skilled at utilizing AI tools to accelerate delivery.

• Experience with operating Rust services in a production environment (Nice to Have).

• Background in payments, fintech, or health benefits (HSA/FSA), or another regulated, money-moving domain (Nice to Have).
